Privacy Policy
The short, honest version.
Last updated July 5, 2026
This is Alex Tong’s personal site: writing, projects, and a description of the engineering-enablement work I do. It is built to collect as little about you as possible. I do not sell your data, I do not run ad trackers, and I do not build a marketing profile of you.
What this site does not collect
This website does not collect email addresses or ask you to create an account. There is no signup form that stores your details here. If you choose to email me, you did the collecting, not a form on this page.
Analytics
I use Vercel Analytics to understand aggregate traffic, such as which pages get visited and roughly where visits come from. It is privacy-friendly and does not use tracking cookies or identify you personally. See Vercel’s privacy policy for how the hosting and analytics provider handles data.
If you email me
When you email me (for example, to book a discovery call), I use your message and email address only to reply and, if we decide to work together, to run that engagement. I do not add you to any mailing list, and I do not share your message with anyone else.
The newsletter
My newsletter is hosted on Substack, a separate service. If you subscribe, Substack collects and processes your email address under its own privacy policy. This website does not store newsletter subscriber emails.
Cookies
This site does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Any cookies are limited to what is technically needed to serve the page.
Third parties
The only third parties involved in running this site are Vercel (hosting and analytics) and Substack (the newsletter). Each processes data under its own privacy policy, linked above.
Questions or requests
For any privacy question, or to ask me to delete an email you sent me, contact alextongme@gmail.com or use the contact page.
Changes
If I change how this site handles data, I will update this page and the date at the top.
